1. Booking & Payment
All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed upon receipt of the required payment or deposit. We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion.
• All bookings — including open workshops, private events, and corporate workshops — require full payment at the time of booking. Your date is not secured until payment has been received in full.
• All prices are stated in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
• Private events and corporate workshops are available for groups of 6 or more guests. Please contact us to discuss your group size before booking.
2. Travel
Workshops taking place within Greater London are included in the quoted price. For bookings located outside Greater London, a travel fee may apply. Where this is the case, the fee will be discussed and agreed with you before any payment is made — there will never be any unexpected charges.
3. Open Workshops
Tickets for open workshops are non-refundable. We understand that plans change, so we offer the following:
Transfers: You may transfer your ticket to another available date up to 48 hours before the workshop. To arrange a transfer, please get in touch at hello@petalspearls.co.uk. Transfers are subject to availability and can only be made once.
If you are unable to attend and cannot transfer, you are welcome to send someone in your place — just let us know their name in advance.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an open workshop if minimum participant numbers are not reached. In this event, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another date.
4. Private Events
Private events are exclusive bookings that prevent us from hosting other events on that date. As such, the following cancellation terms apply:
Cancellation 14 or more days before the event: Full refund of all payments made.
Cancellation within 14 days of the event: A 50% cancellation fee will apply — you will receive a 50% refund of the total amount paid. We may also charge for any non-recoverable costs already incurred (e.g., bespoke materials ordered specifically for your event).
Rescheduling: Subject to availability, you may reschedule your event up to 72 hours before the date at no additional charge. To request a reschedule, please contact us at hello@petalspearls.co.uk. Requests made within 72 hours are at our discretion and may incur an administration fee.
In exceptional and documented circumstances (e.g., serious illness, bereavement), we will always do our best to find a fair and flexible solution. Please reach out to us as soon as possible at hello@petalspearls.co.uk.
5. Corporate Workshops
Corporate workshop bookings follow the same cancellation and deposit terms as private events (see Section 4 above), with the following additions:
A signed booking confirmation may be required before a date is secured.
Invoices are issued upon request and are payable within the terms stated on the invoice.
For recurring or multi-session bookings, specific terms will be agreed in writing at the time of booking.
We are happy to provide a formal proposal, including tailored workshop formats and group pricing, for corporate enquiries. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
6. Cancellation by Petals & Pearls
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking, we will let you know as soon as possible and offer either:
A full refund of all sums paid to us, or
The option to transfer to an alternative date.
We are not liable for any additional costs incurred by you as a result of cancellation (e.g., travel or accommodation) beyond the refund of your booking fee.
7. Venue Requirements
For private events and corporate workshops held at your chosen location, you are responsible for ensuring the venue is suitable for the workshop. This includes:
Adequate table space and seating for all confirmed guests.
Suitable lighting and safe, accessible routes for both participants and our team.
Appropriate permission from the venue owner or management to hold the event.
Please share any important venue information with us before the event — including access arrangements, parking, loading restrictions, lift access, security sign-in requirements, or any health and safety procedures specific to the venue. The more we know in advance, the smoother everything will run on the day!
8. Set-Up and Pack-Down
We will arrive before your workshop to set up materials, tools, and the table layout. The time required will vary depending on the workshop type, group size, and venue. Please ensure we have suitable access to the venue both before and after the session for set-up and pack-down. If access is restricted or delayed on the day, this may affect the start time or available duration of the workshop.
9. Guest Numbers
The agreed number of guests will be confirmed before payment is made.
If you would like to add guests after booking, please let us know as soon as possible. Additional guests may be accommodated subject to availability, materials, and any additional payment required.
If fewer guests attend on the day than originally confirmed, no refund will be given for absent guests.
10. Late Arrival
We understand that delays can happen! For private events and corporate workshops, please let us know as soon as possible if you are running late.
Please be aware that if a workshop starts late due to delays on the client's or guests' side, the session will still need to conclude at the originally agreed end time. We are not able to extend beyond the booked finish time unless this has been discussed and agreed in advance, subject to availability.
For open workshops, guests who arrive after the session has started may not be able to complete the full workshop, and no refund will be given in these circumstances.
11. Health, Safety & Behaviour
The safety and wellbeing of all participants is our priority. By attending a Petals & Pearls workshop, you and your guests agree to:
Follow all instructions and guidance given by our team throughout the event.
Use all tools carefully and only for their intended purpose.
Take care when handling small components, jewellery wire, and sharp tools.
Take responsibility for your own personal belongings during the event. Petals & Pearls is not liable for any loss or damage to personal items.
Participants attend workshops at their own risk. Petals & Pearls holds public liability insurance but accepts no responsibility for personal injury arising from failure to follow our safety guidance.
We reserve the right to ask a guest to step away from the workshop if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, inappropriate, or poses a risk to themselves or others. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
12. Allergies & Sensitivities
Workshop materials may include items such as metal components, plated finishes, jewellery wire, natural stones, glass beads, freshwater pearls, clasps, and other jewellery-making materials. Some of these may not be suitable for all sensitivities or skin types.
Please let us know before the workshop if you or any of your guests have any known allergies, sensitivities, or specific material requirements. We will always do our best to accommodate reasonable requests; however, we cannot guarantee that all materials will be suitable for every individual.
13. Alcohol
At many of our events — particularly private events such as hen parties — alcohol may be provided by the venue, client, or a third party. Please note:
The provision, serving, and supervision of alcohol is the responsibility of the venue or event organiser, not Petals & Pearls, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Guests must be in a condition to participate safely. We reserve the right to ask a guest to stop using tools or to step away from the workshop if their behaviour suggests they are unable to do so safely — including as a result of alcohol consumption.
No refund will be given where a guest is unable to participate or is asked to step away due to the effects of alcohol.
14. Age Requirements
Most of our workshops are designed for adults (18+) unless otherwise stated in the event listing. Some workshops may be suitable for younger participants with a parent or guardian in attendance — please check the individual listing or get in touch with us if you are unsure.
Please note that small beads, jewellery wire, and other workshop components must be kept away from young children and should not be handled without supervision. If you are planning to bring children to an event, please let us know in advance so we can advise appropriately.
15. Accessibility & Additional Requirements
We want our workshops to be welcoming and enjoyable for everyone. Please let us know in advance if you or any of your guests have any accessibility needs or additional requirements. We will do our best to make reasonable adjustments depending on the workshop type, venue, and materials involved.
16. Photography, Video & Social Media
We love to share the joy of our events! During workshops, we may take photographs and/or short video clips for use on our website and social media channels.
If you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let us know at the start of the event and we will make sure you are not included.
For private events and corporate workshops, please inform us in advance if photography or filming is restricted at your venue.
You are welcome to take photographs for personal use during workshops. We simply ask that you credit @PetalsPearlsLondon when sharing on social media — it means a lot to us!
We reserve the right to share images of completed creations made during our workshops on our social media and marketing materials, unless you ask us not to.
17. Intellectual Property — Workshop Content & Designs
All workshop content, designs, methods, and materials created by Petals & Pearls are our intellectual property. While you are of course free to enjoy and display the pieces you make during our workshops:
You may not reproduce, teach, or sell our workshop designs or techniques for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Branded templates, handouts, and materials provided during workshops remain the property of Petals & Pearls.
18. Liability & Insurance
Petals & Pearls will take reasonable care in delivering all workshops and providing materials, tools, and guidance. However:
Customers and guests are responsible for following all safety instructions and using tools and materials with care.
Petals & Pearls is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage caused by misuse of tools or materials, failure to follow instructions, or unsafe behaviour.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
Petals & Pearls holds public liability insurance for all workshops. A copy of our insurance certificate is available on request — just ask, and we will be happy to provide this for venue requirements or corporate procurement purposes.
19. Marketing Communications
Making a booking or purchasing a ticket does not automatically add you to our mailing list. You will only receive marketing emails from us if you have specifically chosen to subscribe or have given your consent separately. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly at hello@petalspearls.co.uk.
20. Complaints
We hope you leave every Petals & Pearls workshop feeling happy and inspired. If something isn't right, please do let us know — we would always rather hear from you and have the chance to put things right than for you to leave disappointed.
To raise a concern, please get in touch at hello@petalspearls.co.uk and we will respond as promptly as we can and do our best to resolve things fairly.
21. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version that applies to your booking will be the version in effect at the time your booking is confirmed.
